How to search well
The search matches words in tutorial titles, descriptions, and pillar names, so short, concrete terms work best. Try the name of the problem rather than a full question: eyes, hair, values, edges, blend modes, metadata, or timelapse. If a search returns nothing, use a broader word, since the library is organized around fundamentals rather than specific subjects.
Browse by pillar instead
Sometimes browsing is faster than searching. Character and anime art tutorials cover eyes, head construction, and hair. Painting fundamentals cover value, edges, and blend modes, backed by the one page layer modes cheat sheet. Process and provenance guides cover documenting your work, Content Credentials, and judging whether an image was generated. Free brushes, textures, and palettes are free for any use.
Start here if you are new
If you do not know what to search for, start with How to Draw Anime Eyes, the most read method in the archive, then Values First: Why Your Color Looks Off. Between them they teach the two habits that improve almost every drawing and painting: building in a fixed order, and solving value before color. The full list lives in the tutorials archive.
What the library covers
Bio Rust is organized around fundamentals rather than subjects, because the same few ideas carry every drawing and painting. Construction covers how forms are built so they survive being turned: heads, eyes, hair, and figures. Value covers how light and dark make an image read. Edges cover where the eye goes and what a surface is made of. Blend modes cover the digital machinery for placing light and shadow. Process and provenance covers keeping a record of your work, reading embedded data, and judging images fairly. If your question fits one of those ideas, a search for that word will usually find the right method.
Still stuck on something the library does not cover yet? Requests shape what gets written next, so send the problem you are facing to the address on the contact page and it will be considered for a future tutorial.
